Residential Habilitation

The Helping Hands Residential Habilitation Program is a one-on-one life skills support service for individuals with developmental and behavioral disabilities living alone or with family in our community. The primary goal is to support each person in his or her efforts to achieve their potential for maximum independence at home.

After an initial assessment, a support plan is developed, and includes specific goals for teaching and improvement with daily living skills, transportation, medication management, and social skills. Our professional staff provides supervision and specific activities that assist your loved one in acquiring, maintaining and improving skills related to activities of daily living. This includes personal hygiene skills such as bathing and oral hygiene, homemaking skills such as food preparation, vacuuming and laundry, and social and adaptive skills that enable the individual to reside in the community.
